presents a demo preview called "Preview of suggestion" in September 1994
------------------------------------------------------------------------
-=*> Introduction <*=-
Here's the first product from a group called Subsystem. We hope that you'll
like our work.
-=*> Lots of stupid problems with our real demo <*=-
Subsystem have been working on a big demo for quite some time now, and the
reason why we're releasing this preview is that Unifier has had some pretty
bad hardware problems with his computer system, which effectively ruined all
our deadlines for our demo. Therefore Unifier decided to go to the computer
rooms of the University of Växjö to put together this demo preview, so we're
able to release *something* to let people know that we exist. By some strange
reason, the University haven't bought any soundcards for their PC's yet, so we
were not able to include any music at all in this preview..
-=*> System requirements <*=-
To run this demo, you need a computer system with a 386 or better processor,
a VGA card and 4 MB of RAM or more.
If you have an EMM handler installed, the demo won't start - so in that case,
just type in the following commands at the DOS prompt:
REN \CONFIG.SYS CONFIG.BRO
REN \AUTOEXEC.BAT AUTOEXEC.TAB
After you've done that, reset your system and try to start the demo again.
-=*> Subsystem who? <*=-
This is our first production for the PC scene, but the members have been
making computer graphics effects in low level programming languages for sev-
eral years now.
-=*> Music? <*=-
Eh, this preview was put together in the computer rooms of the University of
Växjö, and they haven't bought any soundcards for their computers.. We know
that this is rather lame, and when we release our real demo it will ofcourse
have full Gravis Ultrasound support.
-=*> Credits <*=-
All programming in this demo was made in assembler by Unifier. The sword pic-
ture in one of the parts was raytraced by Nighthawk in the size of 640x480.
The following utilities were used to create this demo:
TASM/TLINK, DOS32 v2.3 (by Adam Seychell) and POVRAY.
-=*> Contact Subsystem <*=-
If you want to talk to us for any reason, you can get in touch with Unifier
in two different ways:
- by sending E-mail through Internet to:
uhaen92@hvdc.hv.se
- by sending snailmail to:
Ulf Härnhammar, P.G. Vejdes väg 9:204, 35252 Växjö, Sweden
He really loves to get mail from people.
